Judge rejects lawsuit Nazaruddin to KPK

Judges Panel of the South Jakarta District Court rejected the lawsuit alleged bribery of Muhammad Nazaruddin. Assembly declared the court was not authorized to prosecute a lawsuit related to the seizure of evidence belongs to the former Treasurer's Democratic Party.

"Passing the exceptions granted the respondent (KPK) jaksel state court was not authorized to adjudicate the applicant (M. Nazarudin)," said Chief Justice, Dimyati, when reading the verdict in South Jakarta District Court, Monday, November 14, 2011.



As is known, Nazaruddin sued the Commission and former Ambassador to Colombia Michael Menufandu, related to seizure of his bag when arrested in Colombia. Nazaruddin asked council declared it illegal confiscation the KPK.

Judges rate, the crime is in the office of the Embassy of the Republic of Indonesia in Central Jakarta. "South Jakarta District Court was not authorized to try the case the applicant, because the embassy is in the Central, so the decision was clear South Jakarta District Court is not authorized," he said.

About this ruling, attorney Nazaruddin, Boy Afrian Bondjol regretted the decision. He considered that the applicant's pre-trial shall be filed with the Commission in South Jakarta.
